So who was responsible for this weekend of gaming mayhem? Read on to find out all about the Byte Back team...
Mat Corne (AKA witchfinder)
Byte Back is the brainchild of Mat, a keen gamer who frequents the Retro Gamer Forum and runs the
Addicted to Gaming blog. Having provided a number of systems to Retro North in 2007 and Fusion 2008,
along with organising small-scale retro gatherings for the last few years, Mat decided to take the grander
step of arranging a larger event for the general public, and after gathering feedback via an online survey
finally announced that the inaugural Byte Back event would be held in March 2009.
Rob Felthouse
A long time friend of Mat, Rob has in the last few years been bitten by the retro gaming bug and
amassed an impressive collection of systems and games, with an emphasis on handheld systems and Japanese
shoot em ups. Rob lovingly designed and hand-built his own bartop MAME cabinet that many of you may have
seen and enjoyed at Retro North and Fusion 2008, and provided much-needed support and organisation to Byte Back.
The Byte Back Team
Thanks to the following kind volunteers who helped organise and run the event:
